The new trending colour everyone is after. Those amazing black bath bombs can now be made easily and without people adding oxides or micas or other crazy things which inevitably stick to the bath or the customer. CI Number: 50420
CI Name: Acid Black 2
CAS Number: 101357-32-8, 8005-03-6
EC Number: 309-930-4
Additional applications for this black water soluble dye include:
Soaps - Melt & Pour
Can also be used for dyeing wool and nylon
This is best bloomed in hot water and mixed until dissolved.
Please take note:
This dye is water-soluble this means it is a different colour in dry powder from the final colour. Some people 'bloom/activate' in bicarb soda to produce the colour in their bath bombs. You can also mix with a small amount of hot water to activate before putting into your mix. The true magic happens when the concentrated dye hits the bathwater and the vivid colours come alive.
The pictures in the gallery are examples of bloomed colour in baking soda, finished products using the dyes and the colour in the water.
